At TAMCOD ASDA, the pre-dental committee strives to provide numerous resources for pre-dental students in/around the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex to enhance their application on their journey to dental school. We also encourage pre-dents to get involved with ASDA on the national level. All of our events which are planned for the 2019-2020 academic year are listed below. Leadership
The ASDA pre-dent liaison is reserved for a pre-dental student who will serve as a point of contact between the ASDA officers at TAMCOD and pre-dents. This person is welcome to sit in on any officer meetings we may have at the school as well. The deadline for the application has passed.

As a pre-dent ASDA member, you can also apply for national ASDA leadership positions. Please see point #6 below for more info.

Mentorship
Mentor Buddy Program

This year we’re collaborating with MSDA to provide a mentor buddy program. Pre-dents will be assigned a dental student to ask any questions and meet up if they would like. Please email tamcdasda@gmail.com if you would like to implement this program at your school.

Pre-dent open house
This event will be held in October and include hands on activities geared towards dental school prep . Thank you to those who attended this year!

Writing
Writing for our new ASDA blog (will be on our website) or ASDA newsletter. If you know of anyone interested in writing about any of the planned ASDA events above or in general the pre-dent experience, please send them my way.

Would your club like to host any panels during your meetings? Let us know if you would like to plan for something like this and we can either send a couple people for a panel or do a Q&A via skype.

Join asda
As a pre-dental member, there is a lot of value in joining ASDA. When you sign up as a pre-dent ($68/ yr), you will be sent a guide which will provide the requirements and admission stats for every dental school, discounts on DAT prep, and subscriptions to the ASDA publications as well as an exclusive e-newsletter, "The Polished Predental".
